Ulta Cheek Color: Beauty Product Review

Ulta Cheek Color: Beauty Product Review - Ulta stores have always been a favorite destination of mine. During one of my visits, I stumbled upon a "buy one, get one free" sale for Ulta brand products. Needing some blush, I thought I'd try the Ulta brand which isn't tested on animals.

This blush is packaged in a small, plastic pot with a flip-top lid. Through the clear lid, one can view the blush shade. Some of these cheek colors are matte, while some have a subtle sheen. There are a wide variety of shades available which should be able to accommodate everyone, from those with the lightest skin, to those with dark skin. Available in pressed powder as well as cream, I use the pressed powder form for my combination skin. There is no applicator included.

I've found this blush to be very rich in pigment, meaning a little goes a long way. To use, I tap my blush brush twice, very lightly, on the blush and apply. Ulta Cheek Color goes on smoothly and evenly, and is very easy to blend. I first apply just under my cheekbones to create definition then blend the color upwards slightly. I then use my blush brush to blend inward onto the apples of my cheeks. The result is natural-looking.

The performance of this cheek color is exceptional. I can apply this product first thing in the morning and by the evening, it looks freshly-applied. I've never had to re-apply or touch up in any way. The color stays true in that it doesn't start to appear darker, nor does it fade. I do not have problems with it rubbing off, but I also try not to touch my face too much while I'm wearing makeup.

I've been using my Ulta Cheek Color nearly every day for many months, and I am nowhere near having used the first pot of blush. As a matter of fact, one must look closely to see that any of it is gone from the packaging. I have never seen a blush last this long. In addition, although this blush resides in my very-full, much-abused makeup bag, the pressed powder has not cracked or broken in any way.

To remove this product, I simply use my normal facial cleanser. My skin can be acne-prone at times, but this product has never caused any skin irritation or breakouts of any kind.

While this particular product is not part of the "minerals" line, it does contain talc and parabens for those concerned about such ingredients. It does, however, contain chamomile extract to soothe the skin.

I am truly impressed with this blush. The performance is exceptional, it stays where I apply it, the colors stays true, and it lasts until I remove it when I wash my face. I paid $6.50, and received two because of the "buy one, get one free" sale. Purchased many, many months ago, I expect I won't be purchasing blush again for quite some time, but when I do, I will definitely purchase Ulta Cheek Color again.

I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional cheek color!
