Pros
Price:
Dips are one of the best exercises you can do for your triceps and chest, and because of this, dip stands are not cheap. The ultimate body press is probably the only dip station you will find for under $100. this of course is a big selling point.
Ease of setup and use:
Five minutes out of the box, and it's ready for use. Extremely easy to setup, you don't get exhausted from the assembly and can quickly get to working out. As far as using the product, it's all about bodyweight exercises so it really can't be more simple.
Safety:
It won't slip or tip while you're relying on it for support if you use it properly. Also, if you are capable of doing dips, it should be capable of supporting your weight. The design is sturdy and wont fall apart on you.
Range of exercises:
Allows for tricep and chest dips, standard bodyweight rows, inverted rows, leg raises, and if you spring for the additional attachments, chest flies and the most challenging pushups possible: ring pushups. With this you can get a good ab, tricep, delt, forearm, and chest workout.
Cons
Not easily collapsible:
They advertise it as being easy to fold up and store, but I have not found this to be the case. I don't really care that it doesn't easily collapse for storage because it doesn't take up enough space to bother me. It is, however, an example of exaggerations in advertisement.
Shaky:
Some people complain that the dip stand will appear as if it's not as steady as it should be in use. Some feel that it's a little to shaky and wobbly when you do dips with it. The fact is that it can be somewhat shaky which is disturbing when it's supporting your weight. However, the small wobbles are only moderately annoying, and can usually be fixed by simple adjustment of the rubber feet at the base.
Overall, the Ultimate body Press is a very good piece of equipment for someone looking for a good workout on a budget. If you have the will and determination to work hard and push yourself, this product can be a great tool to help. Final Grade: B+
