You would think that living in Florida I would use less moisturizer than when I used to live in England. Well, that is not the case. My skin gets dry all year round. So when I received the .25 fluid ounce (7 ml) sample sachet, I was delighted to try it. It states on the sachet that the 'Nightly Restoration repairs a week's worth of damage overnight'.
I figured that this sachet might just about do my body once, but that wouldn't give me any idea of how it really worked. I decided that I would only do my elbows, knees, and the heels of my feet. These are the areas that need extra loving care.
I slit along the top of the sachet, and squeezed a small amount of the overnight repair lotion. It is pure white, thick, and has a really faint delicate smell to it. I dabbed it onto one elbow and it rubbed it easily. It wasn't at all greasy, and when I felt it a few minutes later, it just felt soft. I then applied it to my other elbow, my knees, and then the hard skin around my heels. I then went to bed.
The following morning I checked all 3 areas, and my elbows, and knees looked good. My heels still felt a little rough. I had enough of the lotion to do these areas for a full week. I figured if you get a weeks improvement in one night, then I should get 7 weeks improvement this way.
All three areas were hydrated after the week was up. Even the dry skin on my heels had disappeared. When I put knee highs on, with my trousers to go dancing, they didn't snag on any cracking skin.
What Jergens say about their product:
"Jergens Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer repairs and rejuvenates overnight so you can sleep beautifully and wake up to revived skin. With it's effective formula of antioxidant vitamins and healing hydrators, this body lotion replenishes skin's moisture reserves and quenches dry skin as you sleep. It softens and smooths to repair a week's worth of damage in just one night."
It contains pure Evening Primrose extract.
Dermatologist tested.
I do love Jergens products, and feel that the Overnight Repair Lotion does work. I checked on the price of the 16.8 ounce, and right now it is between $6 and $7. I did receive a $1 off coupon with the samples, and if one of the drugstores has it on sale, then I would be happy to pay around $4 for it. After all, it really does go a long way.
