If you are new to UNC Charlotte campus and do not know much about the area as well as want to meet new people and enjoy community service, then try UNC Charlotte on-campus volunteering center.

There is one way to join the community service scene at UNC Charlotte. All you have to do is apply for the Community Service Learning Community. This is a learning community is one year program for newly admitted students and have an interest in Community Service. The classes that you are required to take are (Fall Semester) English, Math, Freshman Seminar, and twenty hours of Community Service. Spring semester, you must take Global Connections, Citizenship & Service, and twenty hours of Community Service. In order to apply you have to first be admitted into UNC Charlotte as a degree-seeking student.

If Service-Learning is a little too time-consuming then try to come out and volunteer at events that are put on at UNC Charlotte campus. Events such as Relay for Life and National and Global Youth Service Day. There are events every so often that can fit into anyone's class schedule.

So, if you have had enough with your campus setting, you can venture off campus. There are many places off campus such as Adoption, Adult, Community, Education, Family, and Housing. Adoption volunteering such as Catholic Social Services, Council for Adoptive Families, or Youth Homes.
