Most students spend their days, afternoons and nights at the Student Activity Center also known as "The SAC". In "The SAC" there are multiple eatery areas such as a smoothie shop, burger king, pizza hut, and Asian cuisines. This areas is jammed packed during the lunch hours. The fitness center is also located here in the basement as well as the school basketball court.
The second area would be Ritazzas, this essentially a coffee shop. There is two locations, one in the basement of the library and one in the basement of Fretwell. The food is not very good but their beverages are. The Ritazzas located in the library is equipped with computers.
There is a lounge in your residential hall, they are all equipped with a television, pool table, and ping pong table. This is a great place to watch games, have a social, or chill out without being cramp in your apartment or dorm.
Outdoor hangouts: There is a large green area located in the front of the school. In this area you can play soccer, baseball, ultimate frisbee or a lay out and get a tan. There is also the picnic tables outside of the Prospector building, which is located beside the bookstore. You can catch a lot people playing basketball outside of the RDH dining hall (lots of pickup games). There area outdoor movies located at Crossroads Dining hall (there will be a schedule printed in campus paper).
Study spots:
The library, the sixth, seventh, and eighth floors are the most quite. The library basement it typically have empty. During exam times these are the best places to be. Library has a host of computers to help you during your study hour(s).
Study spot in the Denny building (2nd floor), there is a lounge area on the other side of the vending machines and there are not very many people in this area.
Residential Halls there are study rooms located on every floor of dormitories. Study rooms are located just off the elevator to the right.
There is also another study spot located in the Denny building on the first floor.
There are picnic tables a over campus and there are pretty empty in the morning and in the evening.
Last but not least you can always study in your room especially sense most people are in the library.
