Easiest Courses:
Sociology, American Studies, and Women Studies.
I will start with Sociology, this is the easiest of the three. It is easiest major and classes to take in general. The people who major in Sociology never seem to make it to class and when they do, they are asleep. Simply, they are the laziest people on campus but they think their course load is demanding. They do not want to be in college but their parents probably made them come. Since they have to be there they major in Sociology. As far as the course load it is extremely lite. You can pass these courses without buying the book (save your money). The test are multiple choice and you may have a group project. Most of the professors do not have high expectations, they seem to be happy with everything. This leads to American Studies, it is very similar to sociology but the school only offers a minor not a major. These courses are based on common sense, if you are an American, you should be able to past American Studies courses. Women Studies is also easy, so much so that it has an extremely high amount of minors. If you show a little bit of effort you will get in good with the professors because we all need recommendations. Let's just say students take these courses to raise their GPA's (Grade Point Average). If you can not pass these courses maybe you should not be in college.
Best Courses:
Film
Courses within film are greatest courses I have ever taken. No matter what your interest are there is a film course that relates to it. You may write papers and/or take multiple choice exams, no matter what you will learn to analysis, this will help you in the workforce.
American Studies
The best course I ever took was 1960. The coolest instructor I have ever had at UNC Charlotte. Throughout my time at UNC Charlotte you will notice one thing all professors have in common. They never take a stand on any issue. This one professor spoke his mind and it was refreshing. He tells a lot of personal stories.
Liberal Studies
Liberal Studies courses are the best courses to take if you are undecided. This gives you the ability to take a sting of courses in any discipline, so that you can make a sound decision as to what you want your major to be. You can even get a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies. To think you can receive a Masters in random courses.
I hope this helps anyone who is considering registering for courses at UNC Charlotte. You may also want to check out ratemyprofessor.com to get opinions from other students about certain courses and professors.
