Uncle Sam and Miss Liberty Costumes for Tax Day April 15, 2010

Celebrate the Joy and Pain of Paying Taxes on April 15

Darrin Atkins
Tax Day is right around the corner this year, just days away, and you better make sure you get your taxes done on time. This year, maybe dress up as Uncle Sam and head out to the local pub after you send off your tax forms.

If you have to pay federal or state taxes in 2010, it is likely that you will decide to wait until the very last day possible, say April 15, to send off your tax forms and payments. Maybe some of you will even have to request an extension to file. Either way, there likely will be a big surge of activity at the post office or online for those who file on April 15, 2010.

If you are getting a refund from the Internal Revenue Service, then April 15 does not scare you at all. In fact refunds may even make you don't mind at all spending time at the IRS Web site of irs.gov. Refunds are great and wonderful and make all things a bit more rosy.

But having to write a big check to the IRS on April 15 is not a fun thing to do, no not at all. That is why this year I am suggesting that you have some fun on tax day by dressing up and going out with your friends in an IRS-themed costume. You can even use these outfits later on the year on Halloween night.

Here are suggestions for online retailers that sell U.S.-government themed costumes and outfits. Make sure to always check for the right size costume for your weight and height. The most popular costumes of this nature are those of Uncle Sam and Miss Liberty.

If you have a little lady in the family who wants to dress up as Miss Liberty of Statue of Liberty fame, you are in luck. You can get a cool Miss Liberty costume for a great price. The Web site of Target.com has a great Miss Liberty costume for the little girl in your household. Of course Amazon.com also has these cool Miss Liberty costumes. Costumecraze.com has a huge selection of Miss Liberty costumes, for kids and adults.

As for Uncle Sam costumes and outfits, you have plenty of choices for these. The online retailer of buycostumes.com has some fun Uncle Sam costumes. And Target.com also has great Uncle Sam costumes.

Try to have fun on tax day, April 15, 2010.
