The seventh annual Uncle Uncanny's Music Festival will return to Park City on with a new theme, lower-priced tickets and national headliner Eric McFadden.

The three-day festival will again take place at the family-friendly campgrounds of River's Edge at Deer Park, opening the event to music lovers of all ages. Taking place from Friday, Aug. 13 to Sunday, Aug. 15, Uncle Uncanny's 2010 will showcase more than 30 artists from across the country, with San Francisco legend Eric McFadden performing on Saturday. Christopher Hawley and Carlos Cornia add to the national caliber lineup, which also includes local legends Shakey Trade, Transportation and Stonefed.

Festival planners have introduced a new Mardi Gras theme, encouraging audience members to arrive in full creative costume. An authentic Mardi Gras parade, led by a costume-judging parade guru, will wind through the campsite on Saturday night, ending at the Main Stage. Winners will be announced at The Big Easy, a new on-site bar featuring drink specials, swag and prizes to fest-goers age 21 and older. Younger patrons can enjoy outdoor festivities with ongoing music at two stages and a wide range of food stands.

This year's festival will also emphasize performance and visual arts, introducing complimentary yoga classes, hula dancing classes, kids' crafts and the inaugural "Mardi Grallery," a live walk-through gallery of local artists' work. Yoga instructor Kimberly Achelis Hoggan will conduct free classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the Grallery, while hula classes with instructor Katie Fernbach of Hoopin2Health will take place at the same location in the evenings.

The festival location at Deer Park near the Joranelle reservoir allows for a range of recreation outside the festival, including boating, water skiing, kayaking and fishing. Food, recreation equipment and fishing gear are welcome, although pets, glass bottles and fireworks are among items prohibited. Visit the Uncle Uncanny's online guide for more information. Tickets, $35 for the full festival, are available at www.smithtix.com.
