Under Armour as Lounge Wear: Reviewing Clothing Line's Best Products

Under Armour has become well known throughout the sports world for the performance of its clothing. Created in 1996, Under Armour was created by a former college football player who found a way to create a shirt, for under the uniform, that wicks sweat away from the body. The now massive array of products produced by Under Armour encompasses all sports. What many do now know of, however, is the large array of workout gear that can double as lounge wear, and the lounge wear itself. Under Armour has become a line that caters to both at home and on the field needs.

T-Shirts

While many assume that all of Under Armour's shirts are the tight, spandex shirts that are seen on the field and in the company's commercials, this is not the case. Under Armour has an entire line, known as loose gear, that is not tight to the body. Some of these shirts are shiny and feature technology similar to their tighter t-shirts. The company has also created shirts that look and feel like cotton. The shirts still perform as Under Armour is expected to, however. These shirts come in both short and long sleeve styles. They are incredibly comfortable for both working out and laying around the house.

Shorts and Pants

These are two major staples in any college man's wardrobe: gym shorts and sweat pants. Under Armour offers both in a variety of types. Under Armour has their performance shorts that are created with a similar fabric to the tight t-shirts. These shorts are not tight to the, however, and are very thin. This contributes to the comfortable feel. Under Armour also offers gym shorts made out of a material closer to the regular cotton shirts. Both types of shorts perform well for workouts and offer incredible comfort. The fabric, as well as fit, contributes to a comfortable feel.

Under Armour also offers sweat pants. These pants are what I consider the most comfortable pair of sweat pants that I have ever owned. These fleece sweat pants have matching fleece jackets. They come in a variety of colors. The fabric used for these pants is ultra soft and comfortable, and easily keeps you warm.

Hooded Sweatshirts

One of the best lounge wear/workout gear pieces that Under Armour has come out with is their performance hooded sweatshirt. Available in multiple styles and colors, this hooded sweatshirt could easily become a comfortable staple in anyone's home wardrobe. The thick material offers warmth, and the performance technology allows the sweatshirt to be an integral part of someone's workout gear.

Accessories

For me, this is where Under Armour shines; all the small things. One major accessory that Under Armour offers is socks. My favorite socks are the "no-shows", but there are multiple styles (and lengths) for you to choose from. The socks are available in multiple colors, and offer great moisture-wicking and comfort for workouts, and comfort for walking around the house.

My other favorite accessory produced by Under Armour is their underwear. Available in multiple styles and lengths, Under Armour underwear is easily the most comfortable pair of underwear that I have purchased. They offer briefs, boxer briefs, and boxers. Available in white and black, these are comfortable for every-day use, as well as workouts; they are easily comfortable for any exercise.

Under Armour's large line can be overwhelming. As someone who has worn and used Under Armour for years for both athletic and lounging experiences, I can easily call Under Armour the best comfortable lounge ware. Go out and grab yourself a shirt, and begin feeling comfort as you've never felt before.
