Under Armour Slingback: Great for Carrying Items to the Gym or Class

Todd B.
Quick...when you go to the gym, what all do you take? I'm sure you have a water bottle, your wallet, car keys, your iPod, and maybe even a magazine or two (if you're going to get really bored on that treadmill). Under Armour's Slingback is an effective way to carry all of these things at once. With it's durability and size, it can handle anything, and everything you throw at it (or in it).

The Good
I've put my own Under Armour Slingback through the ringer. I've taken it to the gym with me to carry all of the things I mentioned above. I use it daily as a backpack for my classes. What can this help you conclude about the UA Slingback? Durability. I've put tennis shoes in the Under Armour Slingback. I've filled it as full as physically possible with books and binders. Occasionally, I can't even close it all the way, but it always manages to stay together. The bag has even ripped at the top. While this is seen as somewhat of a setback for the product, it also speaks to it's durability. It's been ripped for months, but has yet to rip worse, and it has yet to hinder it's performance.

If it's made by Under Armour, one thing is clear. It was made to be beaten up. When creating these accessories for athletes, Under Armour ensures that it can handle the wear and tear of being put through a sports season or two. Jammed in lockers, thrown on the field, Under Armour's products are made to handle anything. What does this mean for you? Exceptional performance with an accessory that will last through whatever you might put it through.

The Under Armour Slingback also offers Under Armour's expected look and usefulness. The front zip pocket easily secures small items. The front of the bag, as well as the bottom, is created with a rugged, durable material that has a look that could be considered futuristic. The back is made of a thick mesh. This helps the bag air out, but also helps it to expand, so it can fit whatever you may try to throw into it.

The Not So Good
The rip I talked about earlier is a little bit of a setback for the product. While a rip may not be a great sign for a purchase, in this case, it's a little different. While it has ripped, the rip has not gotten bigger, and is not noticeable. It is at the top, right below the spot where the durable, thick drawstrings tighten. The rip has actually allowed for a wider opening at the top, which has worked wonders for me as far as school books are concerned.

The only other negative I have about this product is the mesh for the back. While a great idea in concept, there is one slight problem; and water, be it a puddle or rain, will find its way into the bag. While this may not be a big deal for a quick to-and-from the gym, using it for anything else could mean possible damage for anything inside the bag.

The Under Armour Slingback is a great way to carry a lot of small things to and from the gym. It is also a great accessory to use for school, or a night trip to a friend's house. Because it's created for athletes, you can be assured that it is a quality, rugged product that will outlast it's cost.
