With the January 15th deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL deadline come and gone, we now know who will be in and who will be out of the NFL Draft picture in 2008.
Some of the most notable names declaring for the 2008 NFL Draft are Arkansas star running back and two-time Heisman Trophy finalist Darren McFadden, West Virginia star running back Steve Slaton, Orange Bowl hero Aqib Talib of Kansas, Rutgers's running back Ray Rice, Michigan wide receiver Mario Manningham, Illinois running back Rashard Mendenhall and California wide receiver/kick returner DeSean Jackson.

Post a Comment"underclassman, noun, an undergraduate who is not yet a senior" from the dictionary. None of these players are seniors, hence all are underclassmen.
I saw this same list of "underclassmen" at ESPN but it's incorrect. An underclassmen is somebody that is a freshmen or sophomore, not juniors. So the list of underclassmen would only include Jermichael Finley. In fact, most underclassmen CAN'T leave for the NFL because you have to be out of high school three years. Finley is able to leave early because he is a third year sophomore.
