Understanding

My Twinn

Kitty Stevens
Over lives you visited me
I remember you and I can finally see
Who you were, when you were there by that sea.
The time was rough, but you had me.

The picture is fuzzy, but the memory is strong.
What I remember most is the way it felt to belong,
there with you and you with me
I am so glad to know why I felt this need.

A need to know why you drew me to you.
How to understand how this Love grew?
It was like nothing I felt ever before
and it haunts me still as I dream once more.

I dream that same dream that you shared about
a jungle scene that was profoundly loud.
It was a moment in time that began at the end
and brought me to you
in this life to begin.

A journey that led me here to you.
you smiled at me and I instantly knew,
that you had some meaning to my life.
What the meaning was, I struggled to understand
but finally got it with time.

Now I smile each and every day,
seeing you in a whole new way.
This Love that I feel encompasses your view
and yet strangely I have no need to actually be with you.

Just to know who you are and that you are well
makes me feel Love in my heart still.
While it has affected my love life even today,
I can't imagine that it could cause any pain.

In fact I believe that I love better today
then I ever did before,
since that fateful day in May.

Thank you my Twinn
