Understanding the Akashic Records

Regina Paul
Akashic is Sanskrit for sky or space. This concept is from the Hindu religion and references a spiritual library that everyone has access to on the spiritual plane.

Some believe that each person has their own book or books among the Akashic records and that in these books are information that you would not normally have access to. For example, these books can contain knowledge that relates to agreements that you made about what you wanted to accomplish in this lifetime. However, these aren't the only books in the Akashic library, there are many others with all sorts of different information on any spiritual topic you care to name.

Some believe that there are people that can easily access the records in the Akashic library and do readings. This idea came about during the nineteenth century when many people were searching for other ways to find spiritual knowledge. While this may be true, it really isn't necessary for you to contact another to do this for you. Accessing the knowledge in the Akashic library is not as difficult as it may seem. Many people have accessed the library through the dream state for example. So, if you are someone who works with their dreams, it's possible to access the information there in this way, rather than going to another.

Many people also believe that the Akashic records are God's plan for us and the universe, and have everything in them that is planned for everyone. I'm more of the mind that we work in conjunction with God and the universe as to what the grand scheme for our lives is.

The Akashic records aren't the only way to find out information about your life's spiritual plan, or even about God's overall plan for you. You can also access this information through meditation, dreaming, and even something as simple as journaling.

One thing to keep in mind though is that while the information contained in the Akashic records is timeless and correct, because we're human it doesn't always mean we're going to interpret what we read or see in the records accurately. So it's important to bear this fact in mind when we do access them for information particularly when we do it in the dream state because how our human mind interprets what we read and or see may not be 100% accurate.

Whether you believe that the Akashic records only contain the information relating to each person's life plan, or that they contain the entire spiritual plan for the universe, the very idea that it may be possible to find out God's plan for you by accessing the Akashic records is compelling.
