Macro lenses will help you with the smaller details and the optical are better for larger pictures. Do not be afraid to try different things with your lenses while shooting underwater.

Always remember to clean your camera case after using it underwater and make sure that it is free of salt and sand because overtime these particles can cause the case to crack and the case to become tainted so that your picture will not look as good. Use any type of freshwater and glass cleaner to clean your camera case while using it underwater.
