A few days ago, I purchased a container of Underwood Chicken Spread at a West Hartford, Connecticut Walgreens Pharmacy. It was the third can of this wonderful chicken spread I had purchased at that Walgreens Pharmacy in less than a month. The product has been on sale for several weeks there and I purchased a can of it every time I have recently visited the store.
For many years, I have been a big fan of this product and I think it would be a great item to review. Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is an article which reviews and examines Underwood Chicken Spread.
Size
The net weight of the standard sized container of Underwood Chicken Spread is 4.25 ounces (120 grams). According to the product's nutrition facts label, the container holds about two servings.
Price
The regular retail price charged for one can of Underwood Chicken Spread at Hartford, Connecticut area supermarkets ranges between $1.89 and $1.95. This price seems reasonable to me. This chicken spread certainly is worth $0.95c - $1 per serving.
The sale price that I have paying for this product at Walgreens Pharmacy is $1.50 per container.
Consistency / Texture
This delightful chicken spread features a fairly smooth consistency that also contains chunks of real chicken meat. Personally, I really like the texture, or consistency of this item. It spreads easily on bread, usually without tearing it and it offers a pleasant mouth feel. The texture is similar to chicken salad, without celery, onions and other ingredients.
