Unemployment Benefits Extension: President Obama May Use Executive Order
To Extend Unemployment Benefits? No - to Grant Amnesty to Illegal Aliens
Many have complained that President Obama has, for the most part, been oddly silent about the Unemployment Benefits Extensions in the "Tax Extenders" bill which struggled for weeks in the Senate, only to be voted down for a third and final time. Certainly, compared to his nationwide speaking tour lobbying for his health care bill and the months of relentless arm twisting and back room deals to get a bill passed that the majority of Americans didn't even want, Obama seems completely uninterested in the fate of the unemployment benefits extension bill or the millions of jobless Americans it effects.
However, with Arizona stepping up with a bill that would allow them to simply enforce the federal laws that the President refuses to enforce, Obama has become activated to do something about illegal immigration. Oh no, not to finally get down there and protect American lives or jobs or sovereignty by enforcing federal law or protecting the border (as is the President's job), but by finding a way to circumvent the law, the Congress and the will of the American people again by signing an Executive Order granting amnesty to - not one - not a few - but to all of the millions of illegal aliens in our country.
Of course legally, a "comprehensive immigration bill", which might or might not contain the amnesty for illegals that Obama wants, is, according to the Constitution, Congress' job. But Obama's not one to be detoured by little things like the rule of law. Sources from within the White House have reported that the President is working with his Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napalitano, to formulate ways to circumvent Congress using an executive order to bestow amnesty. With an executive order it is believed he could extend either deferred action or parole to the millions of illegal aliens already in the U.S.
This executive order for amnesty would allow illegals to get work permits and temporary status - to continue to take American jobs. And in a time when there aren't enough jobs for American citizens ... You have to ask yourself where this man's priorities really lie.
Just in case you had heard the line "doing the jobs Americans won't do" so many times you were starting to believe it, Pew Research has done some looking into that very question. As it turns out, according to Pew, roughly 3% of illegals work in "low-paid "stoop" agricultural labor". The other 97% compete for many typical sorts of jobs in areas like construction, hospitality, manufacturing, restaurant, administrative and service jobs. You know, the jobs we unemployed Americans, now denied unemployment benefits extensions to boot, would like to be able to get.
No matter. A block of grateful voters for the next couple of decades is what really counts.
In fact, Senator John Kyl (R-Ariz) has reported that President Obama told him he would not secure the Arizona (or any state's) border until a comprehensive immigration law (read "amnesty") has been passed. Kyl told a group of citizens at a townhall meeting in Arizona that Obama told him that the Republicans wouldn't have any reason to vote for a(n) (amnesty) bill if the border was already secure.
That's right. Rather than defending the American people, POTUS is holding them hostage for political gain. Rather than send the troops requested by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer to help defend the Arizona border from the flood of illegals that are pouring over the border, taking jobs, bankrupting states and bringing a crime wave of more drugs, kidnappings and murders, President Obama is hoping to provide amnesty to 11 - 18 million illegals first. And if not by a vote in Congress, then he'll do it by executive order. Again, it's all a question of priorities.
So if unemployment benefits extensions is heavy on your mind right now, or if border enforcement and being defended from the dangerous element among the illegal alien population is at the top of your list, don't count on President Obama to use the power of his pen for an executive order to get you your unemployment benefits. And don't count on him to use the power of the National Guard to secure your homeland. The pen will be used to allow illegals to take your tax dollars and your jobs. Because votes - and power - are more important that American citizens.

Post a CommentWe need jobs but you refuse to help us with Food Stamps and Medicaid even if we are working and trying to make a living. I have a family and people in high positions should look at if as if what if this could happen to them and stop being so selfish cause their jobs are not guaranteed either. If we stop voting for them and Obama starts laying them off to see how it feels to live from unemployment check to check and not being able to provide for their families they would see how we feel. But at election time they are our best friends but when they get in office they turn their backs on us.......
Under Reagan Unemployment benefits went out to 3.5 years under Ford 3.2 years, under bush(2) 3 years. But now that a Democratic President need it to be as long while dealing with the worst recession in 60 years they can't do it? But can spend on other things that cost SEVERAL times the amount? this has gone on for a long enough time it is now up to the President to step up to the plate and say enough is enough we have americans starving pass the damn thing. But we have money to play god to other countries by giving them help help out at home first. I worked all my adult like and most of my teen age years for what. If i had known i would be in this predictament of no fault of my own I would hav not worked. we need help .
I am 58 years old and have been unem. I have been unemployed for 1 1/2 years. I was laid off. I have applied for jobs and been turned down and I would love to gpo back to work, but no luck so far. TRhe congress needs to pass the extension. They have high paying jobs and cojuld care less what happens to the little people.

with no criminal history, I feel like I have no choice but to become one! I must feed my family and pay hte bills,so either they pass the bill,or I'm going to have to grab the buck, however,or whatever it takes to do that!!
i think that reg. ui claim and a 26 week extention should give anybody enough time to get a job or retrain for work. might have to change careers but should be able to find work. the 99rs and others that abuse the system should be ashamed. just like welfare, housing, food stamps, etc... at least ui is for people who worked. cut welfare out bet that would happen F**k
As someone whose wife has recently and unexpected been told her unemployment benefits have ended, I am getting more and more discouraged by our selfish and totally insensitive and downright heartless politicians. I and my wife have worked hard and paid taxes for over 40 years plus. The Market crash wiped out our retirement account, and now the Senate seems hell-bent on making sure we lose our house, our daughters are forced to drop our of college, and more horrible consequences of no unemployment extension. And now the President, who could try at least a little, to help the unemployment extension get passed, wants grant amnesty to illegal immigrants? Where has the America I grew up loving and willing to die for gone? I never thought our own political leaders would end up "killing" us!!! Hope is running out for millions of us! Does anyone care?
Stop sending foreign aid to other countries. Stop bailing out the rich who had millions and failed-they will do it again... like at AIG... Why can't the american people who were innocently affected by these failing companies and failed government leadership (like george w) be given some money to eat and pay their rent?
