Unexplained Phenomenon on Google's Search Page - What the UFO Means for Today

Unexplained Phenomenon, the UFO and What it Means for Today

Roz Zurko
Google's logo is shaping the news this morning. The space ship , or UFO, is taking off from the Google logo. It links to all articles of unexplained phenomenon. What is Google trying to tell us about the UFO's? The number one search on Google Trends is "Unexplained Phenomenon" this morning so it is working.

September 5 is not a special day for Roswell, New Mexico, that was the first thought that came to mind. The closest thing I got to Roswell is that the oldest capitol city in the US is celebrating its 400 year anniversary ad that is the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. So why is Google linking us to unexplained phenomenon?

Do they know something that we do not know? Then I came across an article for this:

Exeter, New Hampshire is holding their first UFO festival today.

Because of sightings through the years in this east coast town, the town is like a "Second Roswell", or the "Roswell of the East coast". This is how the town is advertising this festival.

Exeter New Hampshire has yet to gain national attention for the UFO activity that has occurred in this town starting in 1965.

The event is being held in the downtown area of Exeter New Hampshire on September 5.

Researching for any events or happenings in history for this date did not bring me to anything that coincides with September 5 except this UFO festival in New Hampshire. Do the promoters of this festival know someone at Google good enough that they would use their logo as advertising for this event? Or are they totally unaware of this festival and it happens to be a coincidence? Either way there will be many on their keyboards punching in words that go with Google's UFO logo to find out what this is all about.

If Google is using their logo to lead us to the unexplained phenomena and to search to see what significance it has today, can we expect more of this? I hope so; this has been a fun way to start the day. I am sure if I came across the articles for the "second Roswell" or the "Roswell of the east coast" first UFO festival, then many others have too.

What a great idea if this really the reason behind this UFO logo on the Google search page. Google can become the "guardian angel angle" for these tough times and promote little known civic activities. This could surely draw attention to the festival. I will stretch this and say that they will probably get a bigger attendance today for the UFO festival since Google put a UFO logo on their search page this morning. I cannot wait to see what tomorrows link will be. Google, the New England States have one of the biggest fall festivals coming up soon, The Big E. Although it is a tradition in the New England States and hardly needs recognition, it would be another fair logo for a search that day.

I like how Google changes their logo and had to go look at the flying saucer. There are days I don't pay attention to the logo, but now I'll check it out on purpose to see what's new. Great article, as always!
