Unfelt Love Until Valentine's Day

Harold Dean Sink
There are many days when I feel

Like a shadow in your life

Staring back wanting your love.

You shine on so many others

Like the rays from the sun,

And seem so happy all the time.

I suppose it is me who is selfish

Wanting to keep you by my side

Everyday all the while...just us.

Then along comes Valentine's Day,

And I always feel I have never done enough.

Your eyes meet mine before we kiss.

It is then I know that you have come back to me.

Your attention is refocused for no others to see,

But only me.

I don't write as much as I used to, but I do find it as a way to put my thoughts on paper or on the computer.  View profile
