The scars are still there
Even though the picture does not show it
Silently a heart is still cold
Even if only one person knows it
The mind won't allow itself to be free
And to capture its essence seems unlikely
For it the presence of vulnerability is frightening
But tap dancing around the idea of love seems exciting
It's hard to fathom but quite easy to see
This is the unfinished business of a control freak
