In order for a country music singer to be unforgettable they must be a person whose music touches every fabric of our being. Their music must not only reach our minds, but also our heart and soul. The music they sing must relate to our lives and loves. It must reflect the things that we face each day. When country music singers are able to put into music our everyday feelings, then they become unforgettable in our eyes.

Merle Haggard -
As both a singer and songwriter, many believe that Merle Haggard could be one of the most important singers to emerge from 1960's country music. Garth Brooks came upon the country music scene at a time when country was trying to reinvent itself. He was the right person at the right time.
