Unidentified Flying Object Sighting

Citizen Reports Flying Object in the Night Sky

Kim Brown
Reports of UFOs or unidentified flying objects are the material for countless movies, books and discussions. Who hasn't seen the classic ET? or Close Encounters of the Third Kind? UFO sightings span across history and all age and economic groups. Being a fan of UFO sighting stories, I had always hoped for a UFO sighting myself. There is nothing as able to spark the imagination of so many as as a UFO sighting. Imagine the excitement of being lucky enough to witness a mysterious ship perhaps from another galaxy, full of alien creatures who are brilliant and appealingly large eyed.

One night, returning home from work I was marveling at the starry night. It was peaceful with summer sweet air. I happened to glance to my right and spotted a greenish white, triangular shaped object speeding through the sky. It was extremely odd looking. With visions of alien abductions dancing in my head, I watched carefully until it blinked out of sight. It was eerie yet amazing. I sped home to share my UFO news.

My husband, doubting Thomas that his is, announced that I had seen a satellite. "No way, satellites don't move like that" I countered. My Friend Joni shared a story with me about how a flock of birds flying in formation at night could look just like a UFO. I knew I had not seen a bird! A neighbor offered the opinion that it could have been the moon. I actually had seen a spectacular moon rise one time. This could be mistaken for something other worldly. Beyond a hillside a huge object comes into view. It kind of glows and it quickly becomes larger and larger until it is apparent that it is the moon. But what I had seen was nothing like that. I called my science teacher friend and described to him what I had seen. He said it surely was a meteor falling to earth. They can glow strange colors and can be triangular shaped. I was very disappointed after a quick Internet search. He was right, It most probably was a meteor in flight.

Still, you never know, I keep a close eye on the night sky, searching for a UFO. One day I might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a piece of another world like ours...or would it be like ours?
