Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill - Review

A Sharp Grill for a Small Price

For $22 you can have you an all around barbeque grill. The reason why I say all around is because I barbeque all year round. I wasn't expecting to have a grill that lasted 365 days but the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill did.

The Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill had its pros and its cons for which I took everyone in stride. I think that my favorite aspect of the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill is the fact that it had a warming tray. Having the warming tray allowed me to actually be able to store my uncooked food on it while my other food was cooking. It was a neat extra, I thought. Plus it was fun to have around; it made the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill look extra expensive.

Even though the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill was cheap it actually was a pretty nice size. It had 385 sq. inch in cooking surface as well as a 176 sq. inch chrome-plated warming area. There is a 0.6mm porcelain-coated hinged lid which didn't stay tightened often. There were a few times I had to get my hands dirty and tighten the lid. It wasn't a major issue because the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill only cost me $22.

The bottom bowl, which is the part that the Charcoal goes in, has a 0.6 baked enamel as well as a steel finish. I'm not sure what type of coating was actually put on the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill but after a couple of barbeques, the finish was starting fade in color. Not a big deal it just started to look a bit ugly in appearance.

Unlike some of the other cheap grills I've bought in my lifetime the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill came with silver enamel charcoal tray. So removing my charcoal after use is extremely easy.

The Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill also has adjustable hampers that allow you to control the air flow in which your food and fire gets while barbequing. I only had a couple of issues with the hampers from time to time but for the most they worked fine. They would get stuck but I assumed that was because I left my grill outside majority of the time.

The side self folds away for better storage, which really didn't matter to me because I didn't move my grill of the patio. But for people who actually move their grills in the garage, having that fold away side self is handy.

The only thing I didn't really like about the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill was that it had plastic wheels. The wheels were so cheap that by the time I really broke the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill in, all four wheels were gone. So honestly there was no moving it anyway.

I personally like the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill for what it's worth. It may not be expensive and it may not be huge in size but it really did me some justice over the past couple of summers.
