Uninsured Atlanta Residents Can Be Treated at No Cost at One of the Clinics in the Georgia Free Clinic Network
With the new health care reform, the uninsured citizens of Atlanta can get health and dental care at no cost for the uninsured. Many of the working poor cannot afford to pay for health or dental insurance. There is no cost, but donations are accepted. The GFCN helps take the burden off the tax payers. The donations help to keep the clinics stocked with medical and dental supplies, and help to keep the clinic functional. The Georgia Free Clinic Network has been in existence since 2003; the scope of each clinic's services may vary from one area in Georgia to the next.
Many individuals and families in the Atlanta area are without health coverage. Approximately 83 percent of the people who can't afford to purchase health insurance are employed. The health care is provided for free, but donations are appreciated, because it costs money to operate the free clinic. Any donations will go a long way to render health care to the citizens of Atlanta because $1 will purchase $5 worth of care.
You may donate to the GFCN by mailing a check to:

There are many locations of Atlanta clinics participating in the Georgia Free Clinic Network that are convenient for all of Atlanta's medically uninsured. Uninsured people in the Atlanta area can contact one of the clinics for information about getting free or reduced medical and dental care. Another option is to go through your local Family and Children's Service for information.
