Your Son's Next Birthday Party in New England
Birthday Party Spot: Lamy's Black Belt Academy
183 Elm Street
Milford, NH 03055
603.672.6568
If your kid is interested in karate, this party will be a hit. Even if he's not interested in becoming a black belt, the party includes, games, light karate instruction, and each kid gets a chance to break a board. The school is run by Paul and Amy Lamy who teach Tai Kwon Do there. Paul and Amy are great with the kids and run the show. Parents can drop off their kids or sit back and watch from behind the glass in the front area, or take of their shoes and head on into the party area with the kids. The party includes two hours of fun, up to 12 kids (more can be added for an additional charge) some pizza, drinks, place settings, invitations, and they even include the thank-you cards for your child's gifts. You'll have very little to do but supply the birthday cake and enjoy your kid's party.
Birthday Party Spot: Fun World
200 Daniel Webster Highway
Nashua, NH 03060
603.888.8755
A perfect NH birthday spot for kids who love video games, rides, and indoor playgrounds. Fun World is located in Nashua in a large, castle-like building. Parties get a private glassed in room with a long table. Staff will decorate and set the table for you. The party price also includes pizza, drinks, ice cream, and 15 tokens per guest. The cake you can purchase for $8.95 or bring your own. One ride is included as well. The place has three indoor rides; a merry-go-round, a dizzying Himalaya ride, and a small roller coaster. You can also choose a free pass to their three-story indoor playground or additional tokens.
The indoor playground is a great attraction for party kids. It has lots of things to climb, crawl, and slide on, including a 101-foot slide. Kids can also jump around (and lose socks in) the ball pit and roll down the roller slide. There's only one way into and out of the playground where parents can sit and watch.
The average price is $9.95 per guest on a weekday and 12.95 per party goer on a weekend. You will most likely need more tokens then the fifteen provided. Note: If you put a twenty in the machine, you'll get seven dollars in tokens free. This is a large place so make sure most of the parents plan to stay. You'll need all the help you can get keeping track of kids as they have fun.
Birthday Party at Home: Steve Blunt
12 Burnett St.
Nashua, NH 03060

This is a great idea for younger kids who love fun, humorous songs. Kids will sing along, dance, and even take part in the music. Some songs are familiar ones most kids will know, and some were written by Steve Blunt. Kids will love the fun songs like "Hang on Henry" where a kid is swept away on a kite. Steve Blunt even sings a special song just for the birthday kid. Steve Blunt has appeared in libraries, schools, town halls, and other places in the area.
Birthday Party at Home: New England Reptile

If your son loves creepy, crawly insects, snakes, or other reptiles, invite a professional handler into your home to show the kids all about them. New England Reptile will do a live show for your party. You can choose from a large selection of animals. Giants, amphibians, snakes, turtles, lizards, scorpions, and spiders, are just some of the rainforest and desert dwellers you can choose from. The handler shows up in Australian outback attire to add to the show that lasts a little over an hour. It's fun and educational and they're able to accommodate special needs. The first hour is $225. For areas outside a 30-mile radius there is an additional mileage charge. Not for those with phobias - you'll be checking under the couch long after they're gone.
