Mary Wensing Dvorachek
Stuffing from a Bag

2 large bags of sage and onion stuffing mix
5 stalks of celery (sliced and diced fine)
1/2 pound butter
water

Follow the directions on the package. Put the water, butter, and celery in a kettle and cook until celery is tender. Then pour over the stuffing mix. Stir until well mix and moist. Then put in a casserole dish and bake in the oven about 1 1/2 hours before the turkey is done. Use some of the dripping from the turkey to add flavor to the dressing.

Stuffing with hamburger

2 large bags of sage and onion stuff mix (or which ever kind you prefer)
1 1/2 pounds ground hamburger
5 stalks of celery (sliced and diced fine)
1/2 pound butter
water

Fry the hamburger until browned (for extra flavor do not drain the juice from the hamburger, use it in the dressing) Follow the directions on the package.

Stuffing with gizzards

Turkey gizzards (cut up in small pieces) (if your turkey doesn't have many gizzards, you can pick up a package of chicken gizzards at the store, they might have turkey gizzards too)
5 stalks of celery (sliced and diced fine)
1/2 pound butter
water

Follow the directions on the package. Put the water, butter, gizzards and celery in a kettle and cook until celery is tender. Then pour over the stuffing mix. Stir until well mix and moist. Then put in a casserole dish and bake in the oven about 1 1/2 hours before the turkey is done. Use some of the dripping from the turkey to add flavor to the dressing.
