When it comes to shopping for cute little decorations I love going to http://www.orientaltrading.com. They have a great variety and their prices are very affordable. One item that is on their website that can be personalized is called a Personalized Snow Couple Door Décor. This is a wooden sign of a snowman and snow lady. They are all decked out in their scarves and hats and holding a sign together. The sign has Your last name on it. It is a welcome sign. The sign sells for $12.99. It's measurements are 12 ½ inch x 16 ½ inch. A second item that caught my eye is called a Bell Welcome Sign. This sign is really pretty. It features hanging bells from a red ribbon and has a welcome sign. The whole item is made of metal. What is nice about this sign is that the bells will ring when your guests enter your door. This sign has a 12 ½ in diameter. The sign sells for $12.97. A third item that you might want to buy that can decorate your door is a Snowflake Welcome Sign. This is a welcome sign that is made from snowflakes. Each snowflake has a letter on it. This sign is also made of metal. It also comes apart for easy storage. The length of the sign is 24 inches. The price of this sign is $3.97.
A second website that I would like to share with you is called http://www.collectiblestoday.com. This site is available for those who would like to spend a little bit more money. These are collectibles that can be hung on your doors. I would recommend hanging them inside of course. This site has collectible Thomas Kinkade wreaths. The first one that I would like for you to check out is called Victorian Christmas Village Wreath. This wreath is features Victorian homes, cottages, and a church that are beautifully painted. They all look so lifelike. These wreaths are hand painted and hand-crafted by artisans. On this particular wreath you are going to see children building a snowman, carolers singing, and people in a horse-drawn carriage. It is absolutely gorgeous. The wreath measures 14 inches in diameter. The wreath sells for $99.00. A second wreath that is available from this site is called Testament to Faith Lighted Wreath. This wreath shows the story of Christ's ascension into Heaven. It shows Christ riding into Jerusalem, His triumph over the grave, and His ascension into heaven. Words cannot any describe how beautiful this wreath is. You will have to see it. There are a total of nine scenes and more than 30 figures that painted. It is hand-crafted and hand painted. The wreath measures 14 ½ inches in diameter. The cost of this wreath is $119.95.
A third website that I would like to take you to is called http://www.history.org/christmas/decorations.cfm. Once you have reached this site I would like you to look to your left and click on the link that says Deck the Doors. When you have reached the link I want you to start looking at some of the ideas that the article has on making home made door trimmings. If you will look they make their door trimmings out of natural items such as holly, apples, dried okra, and pomegranates. These items can be added to any greenery that you choose. All that you need to do is wire the item to your greenery. Many of these items have stems and you can use the stem to secure the wire. You get to be creative and choose how colorful you would like to be. Look at some of the pictures for examples and ideas of their door wreaths. The cost on these wreaths and the size will vary depending on which food items you are using. This will be a great project to get the family involved in as well.
I hope that you have a lot of fun with putting up your Christmas door decorations this year. I know that your family and friends are going to love them. They will bring great cheer and a warm feeling to the holiday season. May you and your family have a safe and happy holiday.
