Not All Companies Have Large Budgets

Many small companies have difficulty choosing gifts for their employees. These companies many times have limited budgets, but still want to get something for their employees. Many employees are not concerned about the dollar value of the gifts they receive, instead they like to see the thought that went into them. Here are some unique holiday gift ideas for companies with a small budget.

Gift certificates to a restaurant near the office are a nice idea for employees. These give the employees a chance to get out of the office for lunch. It can either be one gift certificate or a book of gift certificates for a fast food restaurant. Finding these gift certificates are very easy, as you just need to find out the popular local restaurants for your employees.

USB drives are a popular item among today's office worker and they are very affordable. These can be found for under $20, and employees will find them very useful. The USB drives make great corporate gifts for a company with a small budget as they allow employees to transport files to and from the office and to bring in their favorite digital photographs of their friends and family into the office.

Gift memberships to the Netflix.com website are very affordable and are a unique gift a company can give to their employees. The Netflix.com memberships can be purchased for as low as $5 per month. A three to six month gift membership to Netflix.com will allow your employees to choose DVD's to rent and enjoy outside of the office.

Portable DVD players can be purchased during the holiday season for less than $50. This is a great opportunity for a company to give their employees something unique and entertaining for the holidays. The portable DVD players are perfect choice if your employees do a lot of traveling for work. This will allow the employees to watch videos when on business travel and at home.

Give each employee a free half day off as a corporate gift for the holidays that each employee can use at any time he or she wishes. This is a gift that gives employees with limited vacation time saved up a chance to enjoy some time out of the office. It also shows that their employer knows how valuable time off from work is to their employees. The 1/2 day off doesn't cost the employer much, and the good will of the employee that receives it can be worth much more than the cost.

All of these gifts are unique gifts that are different from the standard office holiday gifts. They are also very affordable for employers. The USB Drive and the time off each cost the employer less than $20 in cash. The Netflix.com and gift certificates for lunch can also be very affordable, in the $20 to $40 range. Even the portable DVD players can be found for less than $50 each during the holiday season on sale.

  • All of these gifts are unique holiday gift options.
  • There are several gifts in each price range depending on the company's budget.
  • It's not always how much you spend on the gift, but that you show interest in your employees.
With the current state of the economy many employers are cutting back on holiday gifts this year for employees. Don't worry though, many employees don't count on receiving gifts, so any gift is a nice surprise.
