The first craft or project you can do is called Leafy T-shirt Craft. Here are some materials you will need for this project:
Pressed leaves
Newspaper
Damp washcloths (one for every person)
Paintbrushes
Fabric Paints (Use nature colors)
Small craft sponges (No real kitchen sponge)
Bucket of Water
Paper Plates
Prewashed white of light-colored T-shirts
First, cover all your work area with newspapers, and set out some leaves from the forest, paints, sponges, palette, brushes, water and T-shirts. Then fold your newspaper inside the body and make the shirt to keep paint from seeping through the back. Finally Lay the shirt out and remove all wrinkles.
Before you print your stuff onto the T-shirt, try some tests on a blank sheet of paper. Choose a leaf from the pile and choose its veined side. Next wet a brush and squeeze all of the water out of it. You then should pick a color and paint the color onto the sponge. The sponge should be completely coated with the color you have chosen but not gloppy looking.
Finally, you should print your drawing on the T-shirt. Arrange your paints in the order and cover the shirt. This will overlap your prints in the contrasting colors if you like it like that. When you work be careful to keep your hands sanitized. You can use the same leaf over and over if you will like it. As you finish your craft you can make a contest to see who has the best one.
The second craft you will love. It is called The Apple Candlesticks. Here are a few materials you will need:
Candles
Lemon Juice
Potato peeler
Large and ripe apples
First you have to use an apple corer and make a hole halfway through the middle of the apple you are using. Make the hole as straight as you can and remove the corer piece.
Second, you should insert a candle into the hole. The candle should fit tightly in into the hole. It the hole is too big, wrap some waxed paper around the candle's end.
Some of the older kids can decorate the apples by carefully making designs in the skins with the tip of a potato peeler.
Finally arrange the candleholders in a circle on a plate and you will have completed this craft.
