Are you looking for a special gift for someone who has a dog? I've made a list of fun things to consider giving as gifts. Everybody loves their dog, and they will certainly love a gift given with so much thought.
Homemade dog biscuits ~ do a search for dog biscuit recipes and choose one that you like. I've made several different kinds and my dogs love all of them! You can flavor them with beef bouillon, chicken bouillon, peanut butter, or garlic. I have a dog bone shaped cookie cutter, but you could use any cookie cutter or even just cut them into squares.
Personalized gifts ~ there are many sites that sell personalized pet gifts. I uploaded a picture and had a door mat made. There are a lot of stores/sites that offer gifts with pictures of popular breeds, which are OK for the most part....but if you actually take a picture of the dog, upload the picture and order something, I guarantee the recipient will be thrilled. The prices of these items might be a little high, but are affordable. It will certainly be a cherished gift.
Picture frame ~ many stores have cute picture frames with paw prints on them. To make the gift extra special, snap a picture of the favorite dog and frame it in a paw print frame. It's a great gift to hang on the wall, or set on an office desk.
Collar ~ if you're looking for something unique, look for a light up collar. These collars are LED and can be set to stay on, off, or flash. It's a perfect gift for someone who lets their dog out at night and wants to keep track of him.
Toaster ~ yes, you can even buy a toaster that burns a paw print into your toast. For a few extra dollars you can have your dog's picture printed on the front of the toaster!
Gift basket ~ you can buy ready made gift baskets, or make your own. Include a few appropriate toys and some snacks.
Retractable leash ~ I have several of these and love them. They are available in different sizes. Make sure you read the label and get the right size for the dog's weight. You can find these in a variety of colors also.
Stained glass ~ this is definitely a high-end gift, but something to cherish forever. You send your dog's picture in and an artist will transform your pet's photo into a work of art.
