I have been to a few wedding showers that were Charity inspired. You could either donate money towards the Bride and Groom's favorite Charity or even give to your own favorite charity in the name of the bride and groom. Many of these Charity donations are always meant for both the bride and the groom.
So, make sure you have a few different recommended Charity and Non Profit Organizations available for donation at the wedding shower party. There are many websites out there that allow the bride and groom to register for their favorite Charity.
Guests can go online and "donate" a monetary donation as a gift to the bride and groom. I love this idea because many of use get married later in life. We end up not needing to register for any household items.
You can also list some reocmnedations on the invite, and guests can make their donation before the shower.
2. Pottery Wedding Shower Party
For a more traditional wedding engagement party try throwing a Pottery party. You can host this fun themed wedding shower at a local shop that allows you to paint your own pottery. Each guest can make a vase, mug, bowl, or even a set of dishes for the bride and groom to keep and treasure.
For a more controlled wedding shower give a recommended theme to each wedding shower guest. For example tell everyone to paint a cat theme or a dog theme, which would be really cute if the bride or groom has a cherished family pet!
You could also paint your pottery with a wedding flower theme. If the bride will divulge her wedding flowers, this is a fun idea!
3. Sports Themed Wedding Shower
Now, a Sports Themed party is perfect for either an engagement or a wedding shower party. If your bride and groom are huge fans of a local sports team, then try having all the guests at the wedding shower go in together on season tickets for the bride and groom. Every baseball game or football game the bride and groom attend that year will remind them of their wedding!
To throw this sports themed wedding shower just go online and check out season ticket prices for you bride and groom's favorite local sports team. Divide the cost between the numbers of guests you have attending the wedding shower. The bride and groom will absolutely love this wonderful sports themed wedding gift that keeps on giving!
So get creatie with those wedding shower ideas and take a break form the traditional ideas!
