Here are some other ideas to make your computer desktop more attractive and more fancy.

XDESKPHOTO- Hang your photos on your "computer desktop"

Xdeskphoto not only displays your picture on the desktop but also change each picture automatically in an interval time. You can show as many pictures as you can with many different frame. After installing, run file xdeskphoto.exe to activate this program. Right click on the symbol of Xdeskphoto on taskbar. Click "Manage Photo" and the software window will appear all of its utilities.

1. Add: Use to add your picture.
2. Delete: Use to remove your picture.
3. Config: Use to choose and change your picture frame. After clicking config tab, a "Config Skin" window will apppear.
4. Window Style: Help you to pick three different dept for your pictures: Pin to desktop, Normal Window and Top Most.
5. You can choose three different styles for your picture: Hide, Mouse Through (use your mouse to contact the picture) and Lock Position. Besides, you can also adjust Alpha (transparent level), Scale or Rotate of your picture.
6. Change Photo Interval (secs): Select the period of time your picture will automatically change.
7. Enable Photo Fade In: Pick blur appearance effect your picture to show clearly.
8. Random Change Photo: Select pictures randomly from "My Picture" folder.
9. Set Wallpaper When Changing Photo: This is a great function of Xdeskphoto. Your background will be changed according to the change of your picture in frame.
10. Skin Option: Change your frame skin.
11. Photo: You can choose the link to your desired photo.
12. Add Photo: Help you to find your favorite frame or download more skins.
13. Options: You can choose to function these features

DESKTOP NOTEPAD- Another software for posting stickies on your desktop

Similar to "Stickies", the software that is mentioned in "Unique Ideas for How to Create an Attractive Computer Desktop", "Desktop Notepad" allows you to post your note right on the desktop. You can download Desktop Notepad here. It is only about 700 KB. The pro version costs about $15.

Desktop Notepad permits you to adjust your font size and font of the text. You can choose different font color and background color. The most special function of this software is you can add flash effect to your notepad. This makes you pay more attention on your note and not forget your work.

I prefer to use "Stickies". However, I heard many people say "Desktop Notepad" is better because its stickies are easy to be noticed; so tell me your opinion.

3D ANIMATED WALLPAPER- Turn your computer desktop to a media player

3D Animated Wallpaper is a software that plays special animations, screen savers and media files directly on your computer desktop. With this software, you can put a whole movie, a complete digital picture collection or even your screen saver file as your wallpaper. 3D Animated Wallpaper has four main functions tabs:

1. Animations Tab: Use cartoon as your wallpaper. 3D Animated Wallpaper provides 25 interesting cartoon clips. You can pick one of them as your wallpaper. Click "Setting" to choose color or speed of that cartoon.
2. Screen Savers Tab: Take your screensaver file as your wallpaper. You should use this tab with a screensaver maker program.
3. Media Tab: Add any video clip or movie as your wallpaper. Click "Select a Movie" to find the your desired clip > Click "Background" to choose your color background. You can choose many different way to display your movie.

"Use Direct 3d Player": show the movie in your wallpaper.
"Wavy": show your movie as three small screens (one of them is upside down).
"Brady Buch": show your movie with nine small screens.
"Stretched": show your movie fullscreen.
"Spheres": show your movie in spheres. It looks like a model of Solar System.

DESKTOP WALLPAPER TIMER- Turn your desktop into a slideshow

Desktop Wallpaper Timer allows you to change your wallpaper automatically in a interval time. You can create your own playlist to choose the pictures you want.
The appearance of this software is very friendly. Click "Playlist Editor" > "Add Image" to add your desired pictures into your playlist. Remember to click "Save Playlist". The program will way your playlist as *.wpl file. When you want to reopen your playlist, just simply double click on the file. Desktop Wallpaper Timer will display it as thumbnail.

After collecting you album, click "Setting" to adjust your wallpaper. "Timer" blank helps you to set your interval time (minimum is 5 seconds; maximum is 4 hours). In "Style" blank, you can choose to display your pictures randomly or in order. Click "Apply" for Desktop Wallpaper Timer starts to affect your computer.
