Wedding days can be stressful because of all the planning involved for the big day. In reality, it should be fun with a bit of creativity involved. Instead of looking at your "something old, something new, something borrowed something blue" items as one more task to add to your list, decide to have some fun with it. Create new ways in which your "something blue" item can make your day even more special.

One idea that can get your "something blue" item in is to combine it with another item, such as your "something old", "something borrowed", or "something new". Your garter belt can be both new and blue. Or maybe the hairclip you borrow or were given from your grandma has tiny blue flowers in it. Combining your items this way will save you time and energy, and it is creative as well.

If you're the type that doesn't go for a traditional wedding or does not believe a bride has to wear one of the many shades of white, then adding some blue to your attire just may be the perfect idea. Perhaps you'd like an elegant baby blue dress or a train of blue ruffles. You'll be the bride everyone remembers as you are bold enough to express yourself through color on your wedding day.

"Something blue" does not always have to refer to the color blue. It can represent sad memories. This can go various ways as far as your wedding item. Perhaps there is someone who has passed away that you wish were at your wedding. Take your memory of them with you as you go through with your ceremony. Sure, it may be a blue memory, but it does mean a lot to you and can actually make the experience more memorable.

If you still prefer to wear all white, then perhaps you could sneak some color into your jewelry, such as your earrings. You dangling diamond earrings could have a touch of sapphire in them and still give the impression of elegance. If blue is your favorite color, you can even suggest to your fiancé that you wish for your wedding ring to be of a blue gem instead of the traditional diamond. After all, this is the ring you'll wear everyday of your life for the rest of your life, so you might as well get it in your favorite color.

If you and your groom have decided to write your own vows, then perhaps you want to handwrite yours on beautiful blue stationary. Either read aloud from the paper during your ceremony, or if you choose to memorize the vows, give this piece of paper to your groom afterward as a memento of your love.
