Unique (and Not so Unique) Ways for a Teen to Make Money

Christopher Dylan
As a teenager you are expected to do a lot more than you think. You have more responsibilities and when I ask my mom for more money, she usually says stuff along the line of: "You have your own money, buy it yourself." Here I have listed some unique (and not so unique, but good ideas) for your own use to make some cash.

1. Write articles. A lot of sites out there will let you write articles and will pay you quick and painless money for your submitted content. Here are a few: Wiki.com; and ehow.com; and associatedcontent.com, of course)

2. Garage sales. I know they're not that unique but they will usually generate quite a lot of cash. Ask your parents and siblings to donate a few things for your sale. Its a lot easier to sell during a multi-family garage sale.

3. If you are a photographer( like I am) you can sell your photos online. Just Google 'Sell Photos Online" and viola, you've got multiple sites for selling your pics.

4. Dog Walk. Not all that unique but I made 100 dollars in a week once. Advertising you odd job service helps quite a bit.

5. Find a job. Most stores will hire if you are over the age of fourteen. Especially in the summer time! Department store and restaurants should be your main target, but family businesses and small locations are good as well!

6. Try finding a fundraiser online to where you can sell stuff for a company and you get a cut of the profits.

7.Sell stuff at school. Sell all kinds of supplies from your locker like I did. Remember, organization and decoration in your locker business will sell your products better. A box of 100 pencils for 1.00 dollar, sold for 25 cents each will get you 25.00 dollars (24.00 in profit) from a simple BOX OF PENCILS!

8. Fix up some computers in your neighborhood. There are a lot of computers in the world that brake CONSTANTLY! Advertise for your service at your local stores on cork boards around your city. This rakes in the dough.

9.Tutor. Teens are talented. What is your best subject in school? Well put that to work and after school you can tutor some kids who struggle. Its a WIN-WIN situation. The kid learns and you earn. (And try finding an online tutoring job)
