Unique Ways to Raise Money for Your Church

We all know that church is an important part of many lives but many churches have a hard time raising the funds for different activities such as the Sunday school lesson plans or for money to fund the repairs that need to be done. I have come up with many solutions to helping churches raise money without having to stress over it as much.

Penny run

As funny as this sounds, my child's Sunday school actually raised a lot of money by doing this. The idea behind it is to invite people to church through a flyer or something that tells them about the penny run and invites them to church. The idea of the penny run is to go door to door asking for pennies and telling that the church is trying to raise money by asking for pennies. Many people are more than willing to give you their pennies and it can add up to be a lot of money in the end.

A church yard sale

I am sure that many of your church members have a lot of stuff that they can donate to the yard sale. The churches parking lot can be used as the main place to put all of the items and the items that are left can be stored in a room to use for the next year's yard sale.

Fundraisers

If you really want to raise money for your church you can have a fundraiser for the children or adults to try and sell items. Many different programs offer incentives for selling items or your church can offer incentives based around your religion. Things such as bookmarks with Bible versus or Bibles can be given away as the incentive and something like a gift certificate to a Bible bookstore can be given to the top seller.

Activities for the family

I have seen many churches hold activities for families and only charge a small fee. The activities could be a dinner or you could ask different companies to sponsor your church by allowing you to rent or use a moon walk or different items. There could also be a cake walk and an auction for different food items such as pies.

There are many different ways to raise money for your church and these are only some of them. Have fun with it and remember that you are doing this so that more people will be able to hear what you believe.
