United 93 Brings Tears in A Raw and Emotional Film About 9/11

The Outlaw
As a movie viewer and resident living in New York City all of my life, I was reluctant to see the film United 93 because I knew of the tragic and sad memories that it would bring back to life. Everyone already knew of the events of 9/11 so why was there any reason to bring these memories back? Still I had to see this film and I am glad I did.

The film was very emotional as well it should be. The film is filled with action and scenes from the Airlines headquarters where panic ensues as well as scenes from the Pentagon where even they were panicking and unsure of what to do. This film besides the characters who play them and some imaginative scenes from Flight 93, is almost all based on the truth and the real events that ocurred on September 11.

This film does focues a lot of the flight of United 93 that was headed for the capitol building. What most people such as myself do not know is how this flight developed and how action was taken onboard that plane. This film helps the public understand the courage and bravery of the people on baord that plane.

The scene in the film of the real footage of the second plane speeding and crashing into the second World Trade Center building sheds tears to my eyes, remembering how many people died in those buildings and on that day.

The actors in the film do a very good job of showing what exactly happened on that day. The film shows how the airplanes went off the radar of the airplane headquarters and how one by one they lost touch with the command post. It also shows the confusion in the Pentagon as they scrambled to have fighter jets in the air and the command they needed to shoot down an airplane.

A large part of the film does show the Flight 93 film and the lives of these very ordinary people. It shows how the airline pilots of that plane were warned about the hijacking of the other planes and how the passengers on that plane showed utmost courage in fighting off the terrorists and preventing the plane from crashing into the capitol building and instead into an open field where no other people besides themselves were killed.

This film shows a truly remarkable story and I think that every single American should see this film.
