St. Louis, Missouri-based GoJet Airlines recently announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase an four new Bombardier commercial aircraft. The purchase allows GoJet to expand service to more destinations across the United States. The purchase is for four of Bombardier's CRJ 700 NextGen aircraft. Currently, GoJet operates 15 of Bombardier's CRJ700 aircraft. The order, based upon list prices from Bombardier, is worth 137.5 million US Dollars, which comes out to about 35 million dollars per aircraft.

Richard Leach, President of Trans States Holdings, the parent company of GoJet spoke at the recent announcement. "Our passengers have high praise for the reliability, economy of operation and passenger comfort of the Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft. We look forward to introducing the CRJ700 NextGen aircraft with their all-new interiors and reduced costs of operation and maintenance."

Bombardier Regional Aircraft President Steven Ridolfi also had a few comments at the announcement. "Our investment in the CRJ NextGen aircraft program is being quickly justified. GoJet Airlines is the 11th operator to order a CRJ NextGen airliner since the program was launched in the spring of 2007."

About GoJet Airlines: GoJet Airlines is a subsidiary of Trans States Holdings Company, who owns two airlines, the other being Trans States. GoJet has been operating since 2005 with a fleet of fifteen Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft.

GoJet operates regional airline service on behalf of United Express, from hubs in St. Louis, Chicago O'Hare, Denver and Washington Dulles airports. GoJet operates to nearly twenty cities, most of which are smaller, less congested airports, offering greater connection possibilities to passengers who desire to travel with fewer delays.

About the ordered aircraft: The Bombardier CRJ700 NextGen is the newest refinement of the long lasting series of CRJ regional aircraft. The CRJ700 is a 70 seat version of the series, but as operated by GoJet, will only feature 66 seats, as the first two rows are first class in current configurations. The NextGen portion of the aircraft comes from newly developed interiors and windows, which will make the aircraft passenger friendly, offering a better quality flight.

The standard range variant can operate flights of nearly 2,000 nautical miles, while the ER (Extended Range) variant can fly nearly 2,300 nautical miles. This makes it possible for GoJet to operate from their centrally located hubs to nearly any destination in the United States, offering countless possibilities of connecting smaller cities, which currently don't have nonstop airline service.
