1. Coffman Store

This bookstore is located conveniently in the Coffman Student Union, smack dab in the middle of the U of M campus. The massive University of Minnesota bookstore spans 46,000 square feet, making it the largest college bookstore in the entire state of Minnesota! It is not necessarily the most inexpensive or the most personal place to find textbooks, but its convenience and its huge collection of books make this University of Minnesota bookstore a top pick for bookstores on or near the U of M campus.

2. The Book House in Dinkytown

Looking for cheap books near the U of M campus? Here's a University of Minnesota bookstore that offers the best prices on textbooks in the twin cities! The Book House began as a tiny Dinkytown bookstore 30 years ago, and today has expanded to offer over 100,000 books in-store as well as an additional 10,000 books in the nearby Dinkytown warehouse! To find this University of Minnesota bookstore, just wander along SE 14th Ave, in the student area affectionately known as Dinkytown. Dinkytown is located just north of the East Bank on the U of M campus.

3. Cummings Books

Here is another Dinkytown bookstore with plenty to offer in the way of inexpensive books. Cummings Books stocks over 60,000 used books. It is also an excellent place to make a bit of extra cash-just drop by with your used textbooks and sell them at the convenient Dinkytown location. Even if you aren't interested in buying or selling books, stop by this University of Minnesota bookstore and hang out with the four cats, two dogs and two birds that live there.

4. Midway Books

Do you spend your days carting between the St. Paul and Minneapolis U of M campus? If so, Midway Books is the perfect University of Minnesota bookstore for you. Named for its location midway between Minneapolis and St. Paul, this University of Minnesota bookstore stocks thousands of textbooks, art books, out of print editions and even vintage comics and magazines. Those looking to make money can drop off vintage comics or used textbooks, which are appraised and purchased by the bookstore staff members. This is an enjoyable place for students and professors to browse through the unique selection of books.
