University of Phoenix

My Experience

Imogen Rayne AAB BSCOM

My graduation from University of Phoenix is just a couple months away and I haven't decided if I want to continue furthering my education. I could delay paying back my school loans for another two years, if a do go for my Master's Degree. By then, I hope to be a successful content writer or columnist who makes a decent salary or I will have "real job" that allows me to further my career...I hope!

I have been attending online classes with the University of Phoenix for the past four years and I had a great experience. So far, I have earned an Associate in Arts of Business and I am currently working on a Bachelor Degree in Communication. I know I need to further my education, in order to chase my dream of being a successful columnist. It will take hard work, talent, and education are what it will take to make it a reality in my life as I continue.

The academic advisors were honest with me and if I had an issue, they went out of their way to help me solve the issue. In addition, my finance counselors were very helpful when it came to the loan and grant paper work. I usually had a disbursement check that allowed me to get the programs and books I would need for the classes in my program. Yet, many classes had e-books, so I read them online using an Acrobat Reader which was a lot simple.

The instructors were knowledgeable, involved, and insightful in each type of class that I attended for the last four years now. Each teacher used their own knowledge to promote our learning, as well as let the students lead the discussion as well. I enjoyed each class and each assignment taught me some new that I didn't know. I am not a master with my skills, but I know practice makes perfect or so others have told me.

The students were all ages from 19 to 45, which was refreshing to see so many adults having the courage to go back to school. I loved meeting new students, but I also got take classes with s group of classmates that were in the same academic program. Some of us stay in touch with each other and we have exchanged our social networking information. So far, I haven't met a student that I didn't like, because we all have similar interest.

Thankfully, I am so glad that I have had a positive experience during my four years I spent attending classes at the University of Phoenix. I was blessed to have some wonderful instructors that made sure the students understood that assignment. Each student has goals that they want to achieve and I believe many of my classmates will make it in the field they have chosen. In a couple months, I will be graduating and I can start building my own career that I have been training for.
