What am I doing,
What am I saying,
I don't know what I'm thinking,
Maybe I should be praying.
It is night.
Speech? What speech ?
Am I talking to you.
Are you my lover?
Or are we through?
A day or so ago,
I cannot remember now.
T'was the night before.
No I can't go there, how?
Do you get my jest?
Or should I rest?
Save this writing for the best.
Good he's back!

Post a CommentVery clever poem.
Oh, Ken, this one has tons of depth! I think it sounds a little sad and alot introspective, and I really enjoyed it. You are the poet master, Ken! You dazzle me yet again!
I like how you say that maybe you should be praying and that it is night. I just imagined someone kneeling quietly trying to sort through the day's troubles and coming to a conclusion about them!
what a great poem! Keep them coming and I'll keep reading and thankyou for your friendship!
