Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

No One to Trust, No One to Love.

Wren Tigarian may seem like a normal, shy, attractive man. Dark blonde hair falling strategically into his eyes, high cheekbones, sensual lips, golden skin, turquoise eyes, and an air of mystery to him. Wren is an orphan. A Katagari Were-Hunter orphan to be exact. An orphan that is part human, part snow leopard, and part white tiger, he is a forbidden blend of two animals, one that has caused Wren a life under close scrutiny, a life with no family, and a constant mistrust of all of those around him.

Wren has the power to turn into a white tiger, a snow leopard, or a combination of the two. Inside all men and beasts, there is a eternal desire for a haven, a place where they are safe, a place where they are free of persecution, free of being hunted or harmed.

Sanctuary, a Biker Bar in New Orleans, is a safe zone for all types of Hunters where natural rivalries are put aside and no fighting or killing is allowed and a place where Wren has lived at ever since his parents died of a mysterious and violent death. Wren has respect for this haven, because long ago there was no such place to be found for those who were of both men and beast. Wren busses tables there and is said to be extremely dangerous and withdrawn. In human form, Wren was a feral predator, all he knew was how to stalk and kill. He hates everyone and everything.

Wren Tigarian is very stubborn and has never listened to anyone...until Marguerite D'Aubert Goudeau walked into Wren's line of sight. Marguerite or Maggie, as she likes to be called, is the daughter of a Louisiana Senator and a Cajun beauty queen who wants to escape her straight laced social world and venture into a life that is more exciting and fitting for her curious side. Her strong Cajun roots have her screaming for freedom, but she has no choice but to try and to conform in a world where she feels like an outsider.

Wren's kind was and is never to be known by the human world, breaking this law would bring upon the wrath of many. Were-Hunters didn't choose their mates; the Fates did that without any input from them. But Wren wanted Maggie with such a force and such a hunger that he felt as though he was going insane. If this hunger wasn't bad enough, several Weres believe that Wren had inexplicably and sadistically murdered his parent's years before, and some are worried that Wren is suffering from a rabies-like disease called trelosa that strikes Were-Hunters at the time of puberty. Trelosa causes madness that leads the infected into becoming an unsystematic killer... this disease has only one cure...for the infected to be put to death.

Can Wren prove that he did not kill his parents? Most importantly can he prove he didn't kill his parents before he is judged for death? Can Wren Tigarian win Maggie's heart and bring the hauntings of his past to rest before he himself is put to rest? In order to do this, can Wren fight the humans who will never accept him and his animal nature as well as fight off the other Were-Hunters that want him dead for endangering their world for crossing that forbidden line. In doing this and testing the restraints of time, this could cost Maggie and Wren their lives and their souls. Read Sherrilyn Kenyon's most forbidden novel, Unleash the Night, and find out.
