Unnecesary Roughness
A Poem
Why must there be so much violence
There's got to be a better way
Haven't we learned by now
that murder is senseless
Haven't we realized it solves nothing
but continues to cause pain
and suffering and retaliation
and more death
Until there is no one left
to live, to carry on
until no one is left
to cry for the dying
This unnecessary roughness
is a pointless way to live
but such an easy way to die
There's got to be a better way
