Unrequited

Lisa R. Strong
He is so quiet;
I wonder what he is thinking;
So mysterious;
I wonder what he hides inside;
I want to know him better;
But I don't know what to say;
If I tell him that I love him;
Will he only run away?
Sweet as a memory;
Warm as a tender kiss;
He turns my world around;
I think of things that I never have before;
My heart beats faster;
My feet can barely hold me up;
My head is in the clouds;
And I don't want to ever come down;
I want to feel his warmth around me;
I want to tell him how I feel;
But he is so oblivious to me;
For now, I must keep silent.

    Another great piece. The rhythm of your speech makes this one very fluid as well as emotional!

    The can feel the rolling sway back and forth, indecision and desire spun together. The simplicity of the age old plucking of the flower petals joined with your inimitable grace with words and emotions. Brava!

    Some very interesting patterns and rhythms in some spots. Nicely portrayed romantic angst!
