UNT Students Travel to the Sun Belt Tournament

Having won eight consecutive games, the second seeded North Texas Mean Green team heads into the tournament as the team to beat. Though UNT posted the more impressive record (21-8), and bested number one seeded Troy (18-11) in their lone regular season encounter, Troy was strangely given the number one slot. Both teams, along with Middle Tennessee (19-12), have received a bye in the first round and will not be playing Saturday night.

The UNT Student Activities Organization has organized a Mean Green Spirit bus to attend their team's first game of the tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The bus will depart from the North Texas campus at 1:45pm, in efforts to get to Hot Springs by the 8:45pm tip off time set by tournament officials.

The Super Pit, as UNT's student section proudly calls themselves, promises to be in full force as their Mean Green will go to battle either Louisiana Monroe or Louisiana Lafeyette in their primal game of the tournament.

Students are encouraged to bring their student ID, as entrance into the game is free for all students of participating teams.

Planning to attend include KNTU sports analyst, Brad Ballard, Associated Content contributors, Carl Whitaker, Tony Steadman, and myself. Let's go Mean Green!
