Untouchable

Stephanie Manning

Untouchable

All of the lonely nights
And teary eyes
Because you were untouchable

Harsh words, left with regret
All because you were afraid of the feelings you might get
So you made yourself untouchable

Finally getting the chance
Starting our new life with that first dance
No longer untouchable

Lying next to you
Wondering what I would do
If you were to become untouchable

Knowing that if something were to ever happen to you
I would be left so hurt and confused
If you were untouchable

Thirty years down the road, our hair grey as a dove
You are still my one and only true love,
No one could ever compare, because in my heart, you are untouchable

Now you are in the hospital, it all happened to fast,
I have never hurt so bad in all of my past
Visiting hours are over and you are untouchable

The doctor came out and told me the news
I can't understand, I am so confused
And yet you are still untouchable

I fall to my knee's and pray
That your soul, God will take
Even though I know you will forever be...untouchable.

Very moving.. I don't know what I would do if my loved one ever became "untouchable"..
