Kyra Lennon
When it comes to buying Christmas gifts, it's very easy to stick with tradition and buy typical Christmas presents like bath products, CDs and DVDs. These are all good choices but sometimes it's fun to take a walk on the wild side and buy some unusual Christmas gifts. Unusual Christmas gifts are perfect for people with a great sense of humour and who like to be surprised. Here is a list of ten unusual Christmas gift ideas!

Unusual Christmas Gifts

1. iMusic Pillow

There are some people who just can't sleep without music playing. This can be problematic for one of a couple because having music playing may disturb the other. Even using an iPod can be awkward because the earphones will often fall out. Now there is a handy solution in the form of the iMusic Pillow. There is a speaker built into the pillow which has padding around it so it isn't uncomfortable. All it requires is for an audio device to be plugged into it and the music can only be heard by the person whose head is on the pillow. This is a very cool unusual Christmas gift, and it is highly unlikely anyone else will buy the same thing!

2. Sterling Silver Ghetto Blaster Pendant

If you are looking for unusual Christmas gifts for someone who likes to reminisce about the old days, this silver ghetto blaster pendant is both pretty and retro. Displayed on an eighteen inch long chain is a sparkly ghetto blaster pendant, the kind that was very big back in the eighties. It's very cute and costing just £20, it won't be too hard on your budget.

3. Jedi Bathrobe

Shopping for a Star Wars fan? They will be deeply impressed with a Jedi bathrobe. This is an officially licensed product and looks exactly like the Jedi outfits worn in the movies. It is oversized to give extra comfort and even has a hood! One size fits all, so there is no worrying about upsetting anyone by buying a size to big or too small.

4. Egg Box Money Bank

This is a particularly silly idea on the list of unusual Christmas gifts. It might be a good quirky gift for a busy mum to collect her spare change! In the shape of an egg box, this money bank is made of resin but it very realistic looking. Not to be taken too seriously, it's just a bit of fun!

5. Dunk Mug

When having a nice cup of tea, there is never anywhere to hold those lovely chocolate biscuits that we like to dunk in the cup and often the chocolate begins to melt all over our hands. With the Dunk Mug, there is a nice, chunky compartment to hold the biscuits built right in. The compartment is just far enough away that any chocolate on the biscuits doesn't melt and it keeps the hands nice and clean.

6. Del and Rodney Batman and Robin Salt and Pepper Shakers

For people in the UK, these figures will probably be very familiar. The hit comedy show Only Fools and Horses released a special final three episodes to show the fortunes changing for the Trotter family. In one of the episodes, Del and Rodney went to a fancy dress party dressed as Batman and Robin, producing one of the funniest moments in UK sitcom history. These salt and pepper shakers show the Trotter brothers dressed in those famous outfits. They are sure to raise a chuckle every time they are placed on the table, and they are fantastic unusual Christmas gifts for people who are fans of the show.

7. Maggie Nut Cracker

What better time to give the gift of a nutcracker than Christmas? In the shape of Margaret Thatcher, this nutcracker will be a source of much amusement on Christmas morning!

8. Who's Bad Microphone Shower Radio

Shower radios aren't a very new invention, but this brand new Weenicon Michael Jackson shower radio has just been released. It doesn't do anything different to a normal shower radio, but it does depict a cute cartoon version of the King of Pop, and that is what makes it ultra cool.

9. Soldier Egg Cup

Boiled eggs and "soldiers" have been a staple breakfast for many, many years but never before have the soldiers actually held the egg! This comically designed soldier egg cup really looks like the figures are holding the egg in place. It costs £11 which is quite expensive for an egg cup but it so distinctly unusual that it is worth the money for a Christmas gift.

10. UV Bubble Gun

When it comes to unusual Christmas gifts for kids, you can really let your imagination run wild. A UV Bubble Gun is fun for both kids and adults and looks particularly awesome in the dark. Almost all children love bubbles, so you can't go wrong with this gift!
