Unwanted

Mandy Kaye
A delicate flower
Ready to bloom
I bare my fruit
Then you leave the room
Enclosed by the silence, confused, and unwanted
Romances gone cloudy
My soul goes on haunted
I offer a garden
But you won't sow the seed
I'm starving, I'm thirsting
You have what I need
Each day I grow tired, dried up by lust
You leave me empty ,yearning, and crushed
Last brittle petal outstretched to the sun
A ray of hope, revealing,
You're not the one

Like you and me, Mother Earth is sad when her fertility goes unadored. "Anything is possible when you're sowing the seeds of love."

I always enjoy reading your poems as you have a great way of relating a personal feeling to a powerful force, in this case relating to nature makes a strong impact.
