The Jake Scott Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Josh Scott and Donnie Close in memory of Josh's younger brother Jake Scott, whom had been involved in a tragic car accident in January earlier in the year. It will be funded the new Jake Scott Memorial Scholarship, which is to be given to a Sebring McKinley High School Senior. The goal is to eventually get it to where it will go into the West Branch and Alliance Districts.

I am a personal friend of Josh's and I've known him for about 9 years. To help spread the word online, I will be helping out whenever I am called upon for the web site located at http://www.thejakescottfoundation.com. It is the official web site for the Jake Scott Foundation and used a memorial. It will be having upcoming events from it. I volunteered to help because Josh and I are pretty good friends and this is what friends do, help each other out. It is currently under construction as it all ready can be seen. It only hosts the upcoming events.

The upcoming event will be held on August 25th, 2007 and located at The Sleepy Hallow County Club. It will be the Jake Scott Memorial Golf Tournament and registration for this upcoming event ends on August 1st. It is $60 per player and $240 per team so if you wish to sign up, contact Josh Scott about it and he'll explain everything as to what will be needed.

If it gets big enough, it will expand as stated to the West Branch and Alliance Districts since Jake Scott had touched that community. It is for a good cause and information can be found on The Alliance Review Web Site, which will be posted at the bottom of this writing. Once the goal is complete on that and if the funds are big enough for this, then it will go National going all over the United States for High Schools Seniors everywhere. It will keep his memory alive and he'll never be forgotten.

There is an attempt to continue to get an honorary board member. His name is Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski, whom was touched deeply by the passing of Jake Scott by helping out with the Scott family by signing items, which can be auctioned off the foundation.

As stated before, I am a personal friend of Josh's and I will be if need be in charge of helping out for the web design part of it. I will update on upcoming events and anything going in regards to the Jake Scott Foundation.
