If you're looking for something fun to do this season with your family in Logan, Utah, there are more possibilities than you may think. Historic Downtown Logan offers a few notable events that would be fun to try out this year.

Annual Parade of Gingerbread Houses

As the name of the event implies, this has been an annual parade since 2000. Such stores as Needham Jewelers, Coppins Hallmark, and other downtown Logan shops will be showcasing gingerbread houses in their windows from now until December 31st. There will be about 10 retailers participating this year, building gingerbread houses from traditional ingredients to bring a historical feel to the downtown. These gingerbread houses are skillfully built and kids will love taking a look at the confectionaries cleverly made into a little house full of festive spirits.

Ballets and Music

What's Christmas time without the Nutcracker Ballet? Cache valley's civic ballet is presenting this classic at the Ellen Eccles Theatre. And throughout the holiday season concerts will be going on at the Tabernacle for your musical needs. From now until Christmas the Tabernacle will present a concert on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00pm sharp. Look at your local calendar of events to see who will be in concert for specific dates. The whole community is invited, so bring your family for an enjoyable evening away from home.

Gallery Walk

The Gallery Walk will start on December 1st from 6:00pm-9:00pm. This is sponsored by AVA and is a great event for art lovers in Logan. Art will be displayed at certain stores and galleries in Historic Downtown Logan for the whole family to appreciate.
For other activites, check the calendars for the Utah Festival Opera Company, Cache Valley Center for the Arts, and the Tabernacle Art and Lecture Series. You're sure to find something you and your family will love.
