Shalom Y'all... How Y'all are?
I am soaring like an eagle once again. The buzzards have quit flying around the house... Let us all praise God's blessing of AC. I know I wouldn't be breathing too well without it...
After climbing a half flight of stairs last week-end I was severely winded, my baby sister (RN, Nurse Practitioner, etc.) asked my how long I expected to continue living like this. My reply is simple as long as I am alive!
I have been told I can continue with dialysis for 20 years as long as I don't have any other issues such as cardiac arrest, liver failure, etc. If my quality of life remains acceptable to me that is my plan.
I know every time I share my plan with God, He laughs too. His words to me are something like "500,000 comedians out of work and you're trying to funny..."
I do have the legal and moral right to terminate dialysis at any time. I have shared my opinions and thoughts with my Queen Goddess and my children. If I choose that option I have 2 weeks or less to live. My lungs will fill with fluid and my body will shut down. Just for today that is not a viable option.
Abe Lincoln once said You can be as happy as you choose to be... He was correct. Today I strive to be happy in every manner.
AA has taught me that acceptance is the answer to all my problems. The Serenity Prayer says it all. God help me accept the things I can not change, (other people, places, and things) Change the things I can, (myself) and the wisdom to know the difference.
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle"
I met a man today. I had tried to cheer up when he had lost his leg. He too was @ dialysis but also has a tube in his stomach to eat and a tube in his throat to breath, I silently thanked my Higher Power I didn't have to face his challenges.
Y'all celebrate this week in a special way. Share your blessings as best you can and they will multiply. Share your challenges too fer they will divide... everyone knows many hands or shoulders make the load lighter. Y'all can make this your special day!

No matter what we are going through personally, someone else is worst off. That is something I have learned time and time again. I wish you well.

I remember when you first starting writing for AC, bringing your own special brand of humor with you, in articles or though other article comments. Checking my subsriptions today, having been inactive at AC for a while. If you read this comment, how about another friend update? Blessings.
