***UPDATE*** - HUGUETTE CLARK '" HEIRESS
The 104 year old heiress and last surviving child of Butte Copper King William A. Clark remains in a New York hospital. Clark has lived in the hospital for over 20 years after being brought there by her lawyer. Clark's lawyer, Wallace Boch and her accountant are under suspicion of mishandling her financial affairs and hiding her from extended family members. Mr. Boch has on several occasions stated that he is only carrying out the wishes of Ms. Clark. He has also stated that Ms. Clark is perfectly competent.
The Manhattan District Attorney has now met with Huguette Clark on two occasions and it is his assessment that the heiress is eccentric, without all her faculties and with poor vision and hearing.
Despite the assessment of the D.A., a Manhattan judge has denied the family's request to have an independent guardian appointed and to keep her lawyer and accountant away from Ms. Clark.
While HuguetteClark has had good care over the years, and given that Mr. Boch, her lawyer has lied about her competency, I hope that the D.A. will delve further into the handling of Huguette's estimated $500 million dollar fortune.
